Turn a website you admire into a prompt for your own.
Design Language to Prompt is a free Chrome extension. Click it on any website and it reads the colors, fonts, spacing, and button styles, then writes a prompt you can paste into an AI site builder. The prompt asks for an original site in that style, never a copy.

Open a site you like
Any regular website works: a competitor, a portfolio, or a shop with a look you keep coming back to.
Click the extension
In a fraction of a second it measures the page's colors, type, spacing, corners, and shadows, and how its buttons, cards, and navigation are styled.
Paste the prompt
Add a line about what you're building, copy the prompt, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, v0, or whichever AI builder you use.
What it reads from a page
Everything is measured from what is actually on screen, so a color used in one small badge doesn't outrank the color that covers most of the page.
- Color
- Background, text, and accent colors, ranked by how much of the page each one covers, with plain names like "warm off-white" and ready-to-use names like
--color-accent. - Typography
- Font families, heading and body sizes, weights, line spacing, and letter spacing.
- Spacing
- The spacing steps the page uses, whether it follows a 4px or 8px grid, and how wide the content runs.
- Shape and depth
- Corner radius, borders, and shadows, rated from flat to pronounced.
- Components
- How buttons, cards, navigation, and form fields are styled: filled or outlined, rounded or square, with or without a shadow.
It captures a style, not a website
The extension never collects a page's text, images, logos, or code. The prompt it writes tells the AI builder to create original work, with its own layout, its own words, and its own branding. The new site shares a design sensibility with the one you started from, and nothing more.
Nothing leaves your browser
The extension runs entirely on your computer. It has no accounts, no tracking, and no servers. It reads a page only when you click it, and only the page you are looking at.
